Meet Your Instructor

Kru Yui

Kru Yui has practiced and taught yoga for over 20 years. What began in 2004 as a search for fitness became a lifelong path — through Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Rocket, and Yin, across thousands of teaching hours in Thailand and abroad. Her teaching reaches past the posture to the quiet work beneath it: training the mind, feeling the body, and slowing down enough to meet yourself. True strength, she teaches, is the connection between body and mind.

The summit of yoga isn't the posture — it's learning to meet yourself.

Her Journey

Kru Yui

Kru Yui (Chutikarn Thongkorn) began practicing yoga in 2004, at 23, as a university student who simply wanted to lose weight. Her first classes were hot yoga; the weight came off and she was hooked — but the heat left her body dry and depleted, and she began to wonder whether there was another way to practice. That question opened a much wider world.

She immersed herself in every style she could find — Hatha, Vinyasa, Hot Yoga, Ashtanga, Rocket — moving through countless classes and workshops. Years later, sitting quietly with herself, she realized she had spent her life chasing teachers and forgotten the most important one: herself. A teacher matters while the body is still learning, but the real practice is the one you do with yourself.

She still remembers a teacher at her first class asking if she wanted to teach. "No," she said without thinking, "I just want to lose weight." She often thinks that if she'd said yes then, she might not still be teaching now — the right thing arrives at the right time.

Through cafés, a used-car business, a car wash, and a season of real hardship where one venture after another fell away, yoga and her husband were the steady companions that carried her through. This too shall pass.

Across thousands of teaching hours and every style, she came to understand that true strength isn't only physical — it's the connection between body and mind. We never suffer from the present; we suffer from yesterday. Yoga brings us back to here, to now.
